Marine parks of Western Australia’s

Coral Coast

Western Australia's Coral Coast boasts some of the State’s most spectacular marine parks. Among them is the Ningaloo Marine Park, the largest fringing coral reef in Australia and the only large reef in the world found so close to a continental land mass, just metres off the shore at its nearest point.

The sea life that inhabits the marine parks of Western Australia’s Coral Coast is a major attraction in itself. In the Shark Bay Marine Park, one of the world’s largest populations of dugongs can be found. You can interact with the playful sea lions of Jurien Bay Marine Park, or even swim with the world’s biggest fish, the whale shark, in the Ningaloo Marine Park. Many of the parks are also visited by migrating whales as they journey along the coast each year.

A full range of coastal adventures, such as fishing, snorkelling and diving are permitted in designated areas. Click on the links below to find out more about the incredible natural attractions and exciting activities to be enjoyed in the marine parks of Western Australia’s Coral Coast.
